What was your motivation when you applied to PS?

I joined PS as an Intern in 2019. I wanted to test myself in a place where I could fully understand the operation of several clients. That is, I did not want to do only a partial task in a professional field or feel lost in a huge multinational organization.
I was one of those people who liked to get a good grade in the university. So, I wanted to start my career in a place where my leaders also take into account that in addition to my internship I am still a university student and they support me in completing my studies.

What are your tasks?

I have been working at PS for nearly 3 years – now I am an Experienced Accounting Associate. I like to work here because, despite the stereotype of the monotony of accounting, I feel that my daily work is very diverse and even exciting.
I currently work with two companies and one group of companies. In one case, we provide our client with a comprehensive financial-accounting service – which includes their accounting from A to Z, performing tax compliance tasks, management reporting and statutory financials.
In case of our other client company, we support them in navigating the mazes of taxation. For the group of companies, we primarily provide reporting services. This shows that I have the opportunity to deal with all the main areas of my profession and gain new experience every day.
Since the summer of 2021, I have also been supporting PS as an “Ambassador”. My job is to introduce the company to the students as a university contact at Budapest Business University. Thus, whether it is in live or online job fairs, it is possible to be able to talk in person about why it is worth working at PS. At other times, students also have the opportunity to contact me on social media if they have any questions about PS’s job and career opportunities.

What is a challenge for you?

In line with PS’s service profile and objectives, we are not only an “administrative tool” for our clients, but we also pay close attention to the needs of our clients so that we can provide them with exactly the service they need: this way we can create additional added value for them.

What support and training have you received that has greatly contributed to your success at PS so far?

Oh, a lot. Of course, there are a lot of professional trainings with which PS supports new joiners, so that they can quickly integrate into their teams. What I would like to highlight very much is that there are not only professional trainings, but also soft/personal skills trainings, and what’s more, PS pays considerable attention to supporting new joiners and other employees from a human point of view as well.
On the one hand, each new entrant has a dedicated “buddy” who helps him get to know the company in the beginning, introduces him to colleagues and helps, for example, to find nearby cafes and restaurants. My Buddy was a great help in quickly integrating myself into the team. It should be mentioned that our seniors and managers devote dedicated time to their team members, even to interns, so that we can sit down with them regularly and discuss with them any problems we have, and that we can give and receive continuous feedback, for example, on what we can do and want to improve on.

What is success for you?

Of course, there are times when we have to complete more difficult, challenging tasks! For me, it is always a success when we overcome the challenge together – working together as a team – and we can get up from the table in such a way that we not only successfully solved the task, but everyone also learned something new. This is important because together, helping each other, we will be able to solve a similar task even more easily and quickly next time. The success of teamwork is both the engine of PS’ and our development!

Boglárka,
Accounting Intern

Mindenképp olyan céget kerestem gyakornoki időszakomra, ahol aktívan részt vehetek a könyvelési folyamatokban. Aztán megtaláltam a PS hirdetését, ahol olyan hívószavak szerepeltek, amik nagyon szimpatikussá tették a céget: így például  kiemelt fejlődési lehetőséget adnak a képzések, a rotációval többféle iparágból származó ügyfélnél van lehetőségem sokrétű tapasztalatot szerezni, ráadásul a home office lehetőség is adott.

Kitti,

When I first learnt about PS, I was looking for an internship program. I really liked the idea of working as a part-time intern while I was still a college student.

"I have received a lot of support from my colleagues during the years and, without a doubt, I gained most of my professional knowledge from them."

During my university years I deemed it important to reinforce the theoretical knowledge obtained there also in practice.
